Happy Boo to You!

Jason had to work for Halloween this year so I loaded the kids up for the weekend and headed up to the mountains. With Nanny Nette and Paco there, I knew that the kids would have a blast. I also wanted them to get to spend some time with the rest of our family.
For the entire month of October, we worked on Jake saying, "Trick or Treat." But in his stubborn way, Jake is only going to do and say what he wants to do and say. So instead of "Trick or Treat," Jake said, "Happy Boo!" Anything that comes out of his mouth is precious so we decided to run with that. Apparently the rest of the family thought that it was precious too because he came home with lots of loot. I've never denied the fact that he is spoiled rotten!
Claire's costume is one that I bought when I was pregnant with Jake and didn't yet know that he was a boy. I knew that I would want a ladybug someday and the price was too good to pass up. But, Jake ended up being a boy and I didn't want a boy ladybug so I held on to it and God blessed us with a girl...my precious ladybug! Jake's costume was a no-brainer. If you know him at all, you know that he's 100% monkey!
The pictures below are ones that I snapped throughout the weekend. You'll notice that in most of Claire's she is sitting up and posing for the camera. Jake never stays still and refuses to even look at the camera. Like I said...he's 100% monkey. Hope you enjoy!

I have a picture of Jake last Halloween in the same outfit. If you look far enough back on the blog, you can probably find it!
