Wild Animal Safari

Image
We recently took the kids to the Wild Animal Safari in Pine Mountain. If you've never been, I highly recommend it. The kids were able to see, feed, and pet many unusual animals. Claire was much more adventurous than I expected and loved feeding the animals. Jake was a little more nervous. Jason loved it too, but I think he enjoyed being the driver of the 1980 van more. I apologize for all of the pictures, but it was hard to choose! Enjoy! The animals were sometimes too friendly. They loved the zebras! Jake being a little scared! What a tongue! Look at her expression! Claire sat in Daddy's lap to feed the longhorns. Jake sat in Daddy's lap to feed the camels. Check out that tongue! Jake just didn't know what to think.

Babyland General

On a recent trip to visit the some of the grandmothers, we took the kids to Babyland General. While they aren't mature enough to adopt their own babies yet, they enjoyed all of the babies at the nursery. I expect that we will be going back to adopt when they get a little older. They had a blast! Claire really liked the ones with big hair. I think the school bus was Jake's favorite part. He wanted to get on and ride!

Snow Much Fun!

Image
2011 is already starting off to be a great year! We have 6-7 inches of snow at our house and we've been snuggled up staying toasty and warm inside. The kids have enjoyed the excitement and begged to go out and play. I thought I'd share a few of the better pictures of our Snow Bunnies! The snow started on Sunday night and we had several inches quickly. Jake was dying to get outside to play. We let him go on the back porch for a few minutes. Monday morning A quick hug, requested by mom of course! Jake tried the ice. He kept calling it his "pizza." The snow was more like ice and Jake skated around a lot. He loved it! Daddy and Jake Sissy loved it too.

Look how she's grown!

We always get together the Sunday before Christmas to celebrate Nanny Shewbert's birthday. And because Claire seems to be Kako's girl, she always climbs up in his lap for a hug. Luckily, I've been able to snap a picture both years. I thought I would share them with you. Kako seems to be his same youthful self, but Claire sure has grown. I don't have a baby anymore! 2009 2010

Gooooo DAWGS!

Image
Hadn't posted any recent pics lately, so here goes.... A few weeks ago, Jason whisked me away to an exciting game day in Athens. It was the homecoming game against Vandy, the introduction of the new Uga (Big Bad Bruce) and the beginning of our comeback for the season. Before we left the kiddos, we made sure that they were decked out in their gameday attire and ready to cheer on the Dawgs! Check out our sweeties!

The Zoo Trip

Image
Monkey See, Monkey Do We took our little monkeys to the zoo! The kids were asked to pose for Pregnancy and Newborn Magazine. After the shoot, we headed to the Varsity and then the zoo. We wanted a special family fun day and that's exactly what we got! By the time we left, we had heard lots of giggles, lots of excited yells, and both kids were exhausted. Mom and Dad were too! Needless to say, we all had a blast and we plan on making this an annual trip! Our typical family shot...only one person looking at the camera. Sweet boy! Stealing a drink from Daddy's coke. Claire and Warren... our baby birds in a nest! Jake and Mommy Jake is climbing the fence like a big boy. The big black spot to his right is a gorilla! Fun on the carousel

Take Me Out To The Ballgame

Image
In true Kako fashion, Kako got tickets for Jake to go to his first Braves game. Daddy and Mommy got to tag along, but the night was all about Jake. He behaved like a big boy and lasted 5 complete innings plus the 1.5 hour rain delay. We were super proud of him and took lots of pictures to remember this special night. Jake's favorite part? It was a toss up between getting to throw the ball like a real pitcher (see below) and the cotton candy. Jake with Kako before the game. Notice the dark clouds. Daddy, Jake, and Lady Liberty (or Lady Brave?) Jake sliding down the big baseball. Jake and Daddy with the big American flag/ Braves hat display. The cutest baseball fan in the park. Jake wanted to throw the ball like a real pitcher. The guys who worked the booth were super patient with him and let him throw bunches of balls. He had a blast! He may be a major-league lefty pitcher one day.
