Jake visits his Nannys

Image
Jake is making the rounds lately. He has been burning up the roads to meet all of his family. Nanny Betty was able to come to the hospital to meet Jake, but he hadn't been able to meet Nanny Shewbert yet. On Sunday, mom, dad, Allyson, and I drove to Helen to see the Nannys . We had a great day and we were able to see almost the whole family. We'll have to let Jake meet Angile , Tucker, and Tim next time, though. I think Nanny Shewbert was excited to meet Baby Jake. 5 generations: Nanny Shewbert , Nanny Betty, Lynette, Allyson & Andrea, and Jake Jake loves his Nanny Betty.

Amazing Baby Jake

Our child is amazing. From the time we brought him home from the hospital, he was amazing us! During his first few days at home, he was holding his head up, rolling over to his side, trying to hold his bottle, and trying to help mom breastfeed. He's going to be a genius, we're just sure of it. And to top it all off, he's the cutest little baby this side of California. Here are a few pictures of his cuteness... Jake and Daddy sound asleep. Aren't they both precious? Uncle Jason let Jake borrow his sunglasses. Jake's future's so bright, he's gotta wear shades!

Jake goes to church

Proud Parents Proud Grandparents A proud Pawpaw Mommy is dying to get Jake out and about to show him off. He went to church for the first time this past Sunday. Pawpaw and Nanny Nette were very excited to show him off too. In fact, Nanny Nette had to go buy him a new church outfit for the special occasion. Everything is too big on him right now so it was hard to find a church outfit that was cute enough and small enough. I'm not quite ready for Jake to go to the big nursery yet, so he had to sit in our laps during church. Nanny Nette held him for most of the service, but he got a little fussy toward the end. He also had a rotten diaper so Pawpaw had to take him out a little early. He did a great job for his first time in church!

Jake Visits Gainesville

Mamew has been dying to get her hands on Jake so we were waiting until he got old enough to travel. Last weekend, he turned 3 weeks old so we decided it was time. Jake got to meet everybody on that side of the family with the exception of Jon and Minnie. We took hundreds of pictures, but here are just a few pictures from the day. 4 generations of Harpers 4 generations of Harpers (again) Wayne and Linda are practicing for their first grandbaby who will be here in August. Joy is going tobe an aunt soon so she needed a little practice too. I think Mamew loves Jake just as much as he loves her!

Baby Jake

Have you ever witnessed perfection? I have! I get to see it every time I look at my sweet baby boy! God created the most perfect little man that I've ever seen. How He could take parts of Jason and me and mold them into such an incredible miracle is truly awesome. We are so blessed to be mommy and daddy to this amazingly perfect creation! Jason and I became first time parents on March 29, 2008 at 9:01 pm. It was an extremely long day for me and after 18 hours of labor and almost 3 hours of pushing, I thought we'd never meet little Jake. He finally made his grand appearance and our lives will never be the same again. Jason and I are learning every day how wonderful parenting can be. Here are a few pictures to share our last week with you. Come visit us when you get a chance and in the meantime, keep us in your prayers! Our first family portrait. You must realize that I love my baby very much to post this horribly swollen picture of me! Check out Jason's cloth around his nec...
