Jake and Jack

Image
Jake had his first play date with Jack on Sunday. Jason and I went to dinner and a movie with Jason and Heather while the boys stayed home with Di-Di. She snapped these adorable pictures while we were out. Looks like the boys are already best buddies and it will only get better as they grow up.

I Love New York!

Aunt Fabby went to New York in June and look what she brought Jake. Aunt Fabby got to see the Yankees play before they tear the stadium down. At least Jake got to wear her hat!

More Vacation Pics

Image
I know that I've already published a bunch of vacation pics, but here are just a few more. We have a blast on both weeks of our vacation. Jake grows and changes everyday and I try to snap as many pictures as possible. These are the last few from our family vacation with the Hawkesworths . Daddy had fun on the go-carts. It's a good thing that Chante ' wanted to go ride. Mommy and Daddy had fun playing in the arcade after we rode go-carts. Okay, so Jake slept through the whole thing, but we can't wait to take him back when he gets a little older so we can all enjoy the fun. Aunt Angie, Chante ' and Jake at the Boatyard. Aunt Angie held Jake while Mommy ate. Thanks, Aunt Angie! Mommy wanted to get a nice picture of Jake with Chante '. Unfortunately, Jake wanted to spit up instead. Mommy snapped this picture just in time. What a classic pic! Chante' is such a good sport.

Baytown Wharf

Image
While we were at the beach, Uncle Jason told us about a neat little village called Baytown Wharf. We decided to try it one night and had lots of fun. We will definitely have to go back as Jake gets bigger because I know he will love the boat ride, playground, boat races, zip-line, and trampolines. Jake got to experience his first boat ride and first playground swing on this trip. Of course Mommy had to document everything with plenty of pictures! Mommy's Favorite Braves Fans Jake's first playground swing. I know there will be plenty more of these in the years to come! Sunset on the dock Jake slept on the boat ride over, but was wide awake for the boat ride back. I think he really enjoyed the breeze on the very hot night.

Picture Day at the Beach

Image
Now that Jake is here, pictures are of the utmost importance. While on our family vacation, we ventured out to the beach at sunset for the some family portraits. Hopefully, we can do this every year so that we can will have plenty memories of Jake growing. Jake is going to think of Chante ' as a big sister. He loves her just as much as she loves him. Jake and Daddy Aren't they handsome?

Baby Jack is Here!

Image
Jake's best buddy has finally arrived. Aunt Heather and Uncle Jason started trying to get pregnant soon after we found out that we were expecting Jake. Fortunately, they found out they were expecting a few months later and now our little boys are going to be best buds. We've been waiting for Jackson's arrival as soon as Jake got here. Now we have "Jake and Jack" just like "Frick and Frack." Jackson Graham Mullins was born on July 3 and weighed 7 lbs and 3 ozs. After coming home from the beach, the first thing Jake and Mommy wanted to do was go meet Baby Jack. (Daddy got to be there when Jack was born, but we were in Florida.) Daddy is holding Jack and Uncle Jason is holding Jake. Both daddies are Jason and then we have Jake and Jack. This is going to get confusing! Mommy can't remember when Jake was this small and he was even smaller than Baby Jack. Jackson Graham Mullins Check out all his hair. Isn't he precious?

Our Little Firecracker

Image
We spent Jake's first Fourth of July at the beach with Nanny Nette and PawPaw. We had dinner at Angelo's steakhouse and then watched tons of fireworks up and down the beach. While we saw many beautiful fireworks, the best little firecracker was with us.

Jake at the Beach

Image
It turns out that Jake wasn't quite ready for the beach. He took a roll in the sand and was not too happy about it. That combined with the heat, the sunscreen, the bright sun, and the sand all over him was just too much to handle. We did snap some awfully cute pictures though! After the beach episode, we took Jake to the pool. Mommy thought he might enjoy the refreshing water and the chance to rinse off the sand. Jake didn't like the pool either, though. He didn't mind watching the other kids swimming as long as the cool water didn't touch him. We did learn one thing about Jake though. He's a charmer. Within 5 minutes of sitting on the pool steps, Jake and mommy were surrounded with several little girls. I thought I would have years to fight off the girls, but I've already had to start at 3 months!

More Beach Photos

Just as I promised, here are some more pictures from our vacation with Nanny Nette and PawPaw . Jake is just so precious that I have a hard time deciding which pictures to post! Jake is learning to make expressions now. He loved giggling with Nanny Nette everyday. It got so bad that he would giggle every night when Mommy tried to put him down for the night. Mommy and Nanny Nette would get so tickled that we had to walk away from the bed. Jake was not a big fan of the canons at Margaritaville . He finally calmed down for a family pic with Nanny Nette and PawPaw . PawPaw and Jake at Jake's favorite store.
